Lower Division Assistant-cum-Typist
No. of Posts: 15 [Unreserved: 05, EWS: 05, OBC/MOBC: 04, STP: 01 & STH: 02]
Qualification:
a. The applicant must be Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 45% marks, 40% for SC/ST/PWD candidates in their degree examinations.
b. The candidates should have attained the degree or any other qualifications prior to the age of 38 years and not during the relaxation period.
c. The candidates must possess a Diploma/Certificate in computer proficiency of minimum 6 (six) months from a recognized institute; they must have good working knowledge of office productivity software tools (independent of any operating system, i.e. Ms Windows, Linux, MAC etc.) such as Word Processor, Spread Sheet, presentation graphics, concept of database, internet and email etc.
Scale of Pay: PB-2 Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 49,000/- p.m. + Grade Pay Rs. 6,200/- p.m. plus other allowances as admissible.
Application Fees: As per Govt. of Assam Notification No. FEG.32/2016/12 dated 21st May, 2018, all application fees have been abolished in respect of all Grade III and Grade IV posts.
Age limit of TTWD Assam Recruitment 2020
Applicants must not be less than 18 years and more than 38 years as on 31-03-2020. Age is relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates and 3 (three) years in case of OBC/MOBC candidates. In case of Ex-Servicemen, age limit is relaxable by 2 (two) years. The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the matriculation/ HSLC admit card/Certificate issued by the Board/Council recognized by Govt. of Assam. No other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for the purpose.
Mode of Selection of TTWD Assam Recruitment 2020
Phase – I: The Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in an objective type written test to be held in the State Head Quarter i.e., Guwahati, Assam on a date and venue to be notified later. The syllabus of the Objective Type Written Test will be as follows:-
Subject: General English including General Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude
Total Marks & Time: 150 marks & 90 minutes time
Subject: Knowledge of Computer (Theory)
Total Marks & Time: 50 marks & 30 minutes time
Subject: Languages Skills Test in Assamese/Bengali/Alternative English
Total Marks & Time: 50 marks & 30 minutes time
The candidates belonging to PWD shall be allowed 30 minutes of extra time as applicable for written and other tests.
Phase – II: Against each vacancy, four candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test. After the written test, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear in a Computer Practical Test to be held centrally in Guwahati. Total marks for the Computer (Practical) Test will be 50 Marks. They will have to bring all the original testimonials i.e. Age proof Certificate, Caste Certificate, Educational Qualification Certificates, Computer Proficiency Certificate, PWD Certificate, etc. for document verification.
There shall be no waiting list of selected candidates against the vacancies advertised. The selected candidates shall have to give an undertaking that they will abide by the new pension rules of the Govt. of Assam. Appointments shall be made after receipt of police verification report and medical fitness certificate.
If the post reserved for PWD could not be filled up due to non-receipt of eligible candidates the post will be carried forward next year.

Before applying, candidates are advised to carefully go through the instructions provided in the above website. Candidates are required to upload a latest Passport size Photograph, photocopy of the Admit Card/Certificate of H.S.L.C. examination, Graduation Certificate, Scanned Signature, Employment Registration Certificate and Caste/Category Certificate (in case of reserved category candidates), or Disability Certificate (as per the specifications in the RPWD Act 2016, in case of Persons with Disability) issued by a competent authority, or Discharge Book No. & Date, place of issue (in case of Ex-servicemen). No other document i.e., hard copy of the documents sent over email, etc. are required to be sent to the Directorate of Tea Tribes Welfare.
The online application is open w.e.f. 20/12/2020 (10 AM) to 31/12/2020 (12 midnight) only. No application will be accepted/entertained after the expiry of the given time.
