1. Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
No. of Post: 01 (one)
Subject area:
Crop improvement/Biotechnology
Essential Qualification required:
Ph.D./Post graduate Degree in Agriculture (Specialization in Agricultural Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology/Functional Genomics
Or,
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Basic Science with 3 years Bachelors degree should have NET/GATE qualification.
Desirable Qualification:
Research experience in Genomics/Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Tissue culture/Molecular Markers
2. Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
No. of Post: 01 (one)
Subject area:
Simulation and Modeling
Essential Qualification required:
Ph.D./M. Tech in Agriculture Engineering/Soil Water Conservation Engineering.
Or,
Ph.D./M.Sc. Agriculture in Agronomy/Agril. Physics/Soil Science.
Or,
Ph.D./Post-graduate degree in professional courses (Hydrology/Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing & GIS) with 4 years/ 5 years of bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks).
Desirable Qualification:
Working experience with evidence in a cropping system/soil/hydrological modeling. Preference will be given to Ph.D./M. Tech/M.Sc. degree holders in Soil water conservation engineering/Hydrology/Agri. Physics with modeling experience.
3. Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Subject area:
Natural Resource Management
Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. (Ag) in Soil Science/Environmental Sciences/Agronomy (Master’s degree in the relevant subject with 4 years/5 years of bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks).
Desirable Qualification:
Experience with evidence in carbon sequestration study/organic matter management/GHG emission study/conservation agriculture/soil and plant analysis/Experience in laboratory analysis, handling equipment and research facilities.
4. Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Subject area:
Livestock production
Essential Qualification:
Ph.D./Post Graduate degree in Veterinary Science.
Or,
Ph.D. or Post Graduate Degree with NET in Life Science.
Desirable Qualification:
Specialization in Livestock production Management/Animal breeding nutrition/Biotechnology/Animal Reproduction with research experiences.
5. YP-II

Crop Improvement
Essential Qualification:
M Sc. (Ag)/Post graduate degree in Crop Physiology/Plant Physiology.
Or,
Masters in Life or Plant sciences (M.Sc./M Tech) with NET or equivalent.

Research experience in plant sciences with appropriate exposure on physiological tools and handling of physiological instruments.

Technology Demonstration
Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. (Agriculture)/M. V. Sc.

- Field experience in climate-related research and extension work.

Natural Resource Management
Essential Qualification:
B. Tech degree (minimum of four years) in Engineering/IT/Computer Science.
Desirable Qualification:
Minimum working experience of one year with evidence in Remote sensing-GIS/Hyperspectral Remote sensing/ Spectroradiometer will be given preference.
8. YP-II

Livestock production
Essential Qualification:
Postgraduate in any discipline of life sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science.
Desirable Qualification:
Masters degree in LPM/Animal Reproduction/Animal Nutrition/Animal Physiology/Animal Genetics & Breeding.
9. YP-II

Subject area:
Livestock production
Essential Qualification:
Graduate in Life Science (Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology).
Desirable Qualification:
Experience in analytical works in laboratory.
Age limit of ICAR Meghalaya Jobs
- The maximum age limit for SRF is 35 years for men and 40 years for women candidates.
- For YP-II & YP-I is 40 years for men and women candidates.
- Minimum age limit 21 years with relaxation of age as per rule. (Relaxation of age in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Government norms).
